Well, really, there are LOTS of reasons, but for brevity: here are just 3 reasons your teens will like Psych on their transcripts!

Your Teens Will “Like Psych” on Their Transcripts
1) Psychology “sparkles-up” the transcript.
Transcripts that have courses beyond the simple basic core, show a homeschool high schooler with breadth of education and interests- someone that can add to the student body of a college campus.
In my experiences as an academic advisor for homeschool high schoolers, I’ve learned from college admissions advisors they are looking with some teens with sparkle.
Well, not ALL psychology courses are fun. 7 Sisters Homeschool Introduction to Psychology from a Christian Perspective is fun!
I wrote Intro Psych with the idea that I wanted my teens to “like Psych”. My paying job is mental health counseling so I wanted my kids to enjoy the topic I love so much. Our our local homeschool teens have enjoyed the text for years in group classes and co-ops. THAT’S what I was after!
Unfortunately, many high school Intro Psych courses are written at an AP level. The texts are long, over-taught, and dry. (Sorry.) These serve as a weed-out course, rather than an inspiration course that helps call homeschool high schoolers into this important helping profession.
7 Sisters Homeschool Introduction to Psychology from a Christian Perspective is written at average high school level, with additional activities for those who desire to level-up to college prep, advanced, or honors. Each of the activities are meaningful and inspirational and build genuinely useful experiences while creating a powerful transcript.
3) Psychology is useful!
Your teens will “like Psych” on their transcripts because it looks good- but is also USEFUL in their lives. 7 Sisters Introduction to Psychology has a chapter on how to help a friend and LOTS of great information on understanding themselves and others.
